Italy Approves Naval Support to Fight Human Trafficking With Libya Coast Guard

Italy approved sending some of their naval fleets to help the Libyan coast guard fight against migrant trafficking after requests from the country, according to The Associated Press. The move supposed to aid the efforts at curbing the flow of hundreds of thousands of migrants each year that are smuggled out of Libya and across the Mediterranean Sea to reach Europe by traffickers that often use unsafe and unseaworthy boats.
